Tour of Relics of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta

Relics of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta were on display in several churches in the Memphis are on July 22nd and 23rd including here at St. Louis Church. The tour of relics through the Eastern and Midwestern United States was organized by the Missionaries of Charity in honor of Mother Teresa's birth 100 years ago.

Relics included her rosary, crucifix, sandals and reliquaries containing some of her hair and blood. Like all Missionaries of Charity, the order she founded in 1950, Mother Teresa had very few belongings. The crucifix is the one she wore from the time of her first vows at age 20 until her death in 1997 at age 97. The rosary and sandals were those used by Mother Teresa at the time of her death.
